When it comes to job-hunting, there are the usual tricks to stand out from the crowd.  Like a new business suit, a good cover letter, and a solid resume. But have you ever considered a calling card?  One step up from the traditional business card, a calling card can be a great tool for job seekers says the Globe & Mail.  Calling cards may look like a business card at first glance, after all they’re the same size, but calling cards are more informative and creative.

A calling card can go way beyond name and contact information. It can include bullet points listing career highlights or education, even a brief statement of tag line describing what you do or specialize in.  You can even add a splash of colour and use heavy gauge paper to keep them classy. Not a bad idea since your calling card should be a reflection of you – and what could be classier than that?
